Initial print ad campaign and supporting promotional items.
Subverted PR sloganeering revived the company's image with a new playful attitude.

03. 1996: Hello Dolly

Helvetica50 (touring exhibition) Design Museum, London/NYC/Paris etc. Illustrated by Paul Evans. Kiosk were among fifty designers commissioned by curators Blanka and Candy Collective to create an original artwork representing a specific year in the life of the font Helvetica.

04. What If? by Andrew Motion

Poet Laureate, Andrew Motion, was commissioned by Sheffield's 'Off The Shelf' literary festival, to write a poem for the city. A permanent public artwork, Kiosk were asked to design/consult on it's look/application. Erected on the Hallam University building, 115 feet high, overlooking the train station. The largest point size of Helvetica we've worked with... ;-)

05. Addicted

Series of albums for Platipus Records
Crime scene evidence markers provide typographic solution for each cover. The locations chosen are suggestive of each album's music style. Photography by Shaun Bloodworth.

06. Nicktoons

In-house brand guidelines for the Nicktoons Network , (Nickelodeon, USA). In collaboration with Universal Everything

07. b.TWEEN 07

Concept & design for Just-b's Interactive Media Forum b.TWEEN, at the National Media Museum. Geeks and their developing of software, change our world. We decided to reclaim the word Geek as a positive. Each delegate received a highly coverted goodie bag, event brochure and access to an online gallery, to which they could upload themselves modelling their proud new Geek fashion. Geeks rule ok!

08. Print Is Dead

CD packaging for recording artists yourcodenameis:milo (V2 Music)
The album features collaborations with Maximo Park, Bloc Party and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly among others. Each track was written and recorded in one day. The CD booklet also features collaborations between Kiosk designers and some of the recording artists.

09. Futuresonic 2007

Design for Manchester's annual Futuresonic festival of art, music and ideas. This year's event focused on the history of multi-media visual art, from the 1960s to present day. Animation by The Neighbourhood

Album design for recording artists 2020Soundsystem. The retro electronic sounds influenced this Music Library take on the client's request for a giant speaker ( 2020Vision )

Rebrand of Nottingham based contemporary dance organisation, Dance4
Derived from Kiosk's own identity, simple interchangable logo/icons afford the company their own personality and mood choice for each project they produce or support.

Kiosk is a design studio founded by ex-TDR designer David Bailey.
We're based in Sheffield UK, with
like-minded collaborators working remotely worldwide.

David Bailey was born in South Yorkshire in 1970. Time passed.
By 1993 he was a well travelled skateboarder who had returned to his native Sheffield.
Whilst producing fanzines, club nights and running a skate shop, David met Ian Anderson
and went on to become a key member of his Designers Republic, (1997 � 2005).
An eight-year-itch forced the leap to independence in November '05.
Thus... Let's Kiosk!
